Online Event: Shut Up & Draw Virtual Art Tutorial From Strut In San Francisco CA

Join us virtually for our very first online Shut Up and DRAW!

May 23rd at 3pm (DST)
featuring an online art tutorial by Justin Hall!

We've been doing Shut Up and DRAW at Strut for over 4 years now. Normally we all sit together to draw peacefully and quietly, with a guest artist who does a workshop or has a QnA with us here and there. On May 23rd grab your sketchbooks and tune in to get a fun art tutorial from internationally known graphic novelist and educator Justin Hall! Who will be helping guide our pencils and pens with an art share, after we will be having a QnA with him, and possibly an optional share what you drew during this session.

More about Justin
Justin Hall is a cartoonist living in San Francisco with his partner and their pet python. He has been awarded the Xeric Grant and the Prism Comics Queer Press Grant for his comics work, which includes True Travel Tales, Hard To Swallow. His work has appeared in publications such as Best American Comics 2006, Boy Trouble, and the San Francisco Bay Guardian. He curated "No Straight Lines: Queer Culture and the Comics" at the Cartoon Art Museum in 2006, which was the world's first museum show devoted to LGBT comics. He currently teaches comics at the California College of Art.
