WE'RE BACK! Plan your hottest leather look, get ready for some jello shots, grab your friends, and come on out for a night of fundraising for trans folx. The recipient of half of the funds from this months event will be the Black Trans Travel Fund (as usual, the other half will go to the Mr Philadelphia Leather 2019 Travel Fund). Mr Philadelphia Leather 2019 is thrilled to be able to support this new and expanding organization doing massively important work.
"The Black Trans Travel Fund is a mutual-aid project created to help provide Black transgender women with resources to make sure they are able to travel to and from their destinations safely and free from verbal harassment or physical harm. This project was created out of direct response to the relentless and unacceptable violence Black transgender women across the country are currently experiencing. We are currently servicing Black trans women in New York and New Jersey, and will be expanding our efforts to other states soon."
The Black Trans Travel Fund helped provide means for Black trans women to attend this year's Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference. Let's help them raise enough money to be able to expand their efforts to consistently provide this vital service for Black trans women in Philly!
