Through a grueling 8 week process I, Justin William Brown, was chosen as the winner of the first competition ”Rockbar Gays Got Singing” hosted by Clarice DuBois. In turn Rockbar is hosting: Fuck Being Friends; the first iteration of a cabaret show I have been curating since the fall of 2018. A disection of interpersonal relationships that were dumpster fires in 4K, and somehow? I missed it. Join me as I recount tales of my own stalker tendencies, my evolution as a femme identified person, whack dick, and the innumerable times men have told me: Let’s just be friends—and the ways I believed them.
