Twisted Times, a female-led podcast produced by film production company ‘Twisted Valley Films’. TVF released their film “The Broken Ones” last year and is currently in development on the film “Dear Jack” with Annette Haywood-Carter (Foxfire, Savannah) to direct. Today they have announced that they will be breaking away from their traditional format for the month of PRIDE. They will be curating LGBTQ specific interviews with unique and influential members of the community. While promoting inclusivity and love during a time where the world needs it the most. Twisted Times is hosted by Cece King, Actor/Writer (Jessica Jones, All Square, Masters Of Sex) , and Writer/Actor Ryan Jillian (Sundance Channel, FoodNetwork, Broadwayworld) . The dynamic “Kathie Lee and Hoda” duo speak to Michelin star Chefs, Professional Athletes, Actors, Youtube Stars, Musicians, Influencers, Activists, and more highlighting who has been the biggest supporter in their journey despite their actions and choices.
“I have been reminded through everything going on in our country that bringing support to marginalized groups through conversation is very powerful and necessary. These episodes could help someone see a light at the end of the tunnel” - King says. In addition to their interviews.
Throughout each episode, they will be raising awareness towards various organizations that also promote inclusivity in their mission. Some of these organizations include The National Queer Theater, Pride At Work, The Bail Project, Ruth Ellis, The Trevor Project, National Black Justice Commission, and many more. “As we continue the fight for social justice it is important to me being black and being a woman that we remember in this fight for black lives matter, we remember that the black LGBTQ community is not exempt from the discussion. Black Lives include our trans and LBTQ brothers and sisters. It’s a gap that has existed within our community for years, and it’s a gap we want to continue working to close.” - says Jillian.
