This season, Florida Grand Opera’s SongFest series contains two concerts that explore the traditions of American opera and musical theater throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. At SongFest, context is the key: both treasured classics (Leonard Bernstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rodgers, and Hammerstein) and little-known masterpieces (Carlisle Floyd, Douglas Moore, Stephen Schwartz) are combined to bridge the gap between these two genres and celebrate American music!
Recitals are performed by members of FGO’s Studio Artist Program, giving audiences a chance to discover rare and extraordinary talent off the main stage.
Tickets for each recital are $10.00 per person. Free for donors and subscribers, limited to the number of subscription seats, or two tickets, with RSVP. Seating is limited.
