World AIDS Day: Candle Light Walk & Memorial Service

December 1, 2020 - 6:30PM to 9:00PM EST

December 1, 2020, we will observe World AIDS Day. Since 1988 people have stopped to reflect on how AIDS has affected us, on the loved ones we have lost, and how we can work to stop this pandemic. In the midst of a world mired in the disaster of another pandemic, Coronavirus, we realize how vulnerable we are and how so many of our loved ones, especially the poor and marginalized are threatened by disease.

This year, on Tuesday, December 1, we will pause to remember.

We will begin with a candlelight walk from The Center to Trinity Church, Asbury, and Grand Avenues. Our walk will start at 6:30 pm. Dress warmly!

At 7:30, we will have a service to remember, to pray, to call the names of those we have lost to HIV/AIDS in the years past.

Because of the present crisis, we will practice social distancing and wear masks. We will avoid contact and so instead of writing the names of those lost at the back of the Church as we have in the past we encourage you to e-mail to us names that you would like read at the service. Please send those names to quinnpv@optonline.net. In addition, we will give participants an opportunity to call out the names of those to be remembered.

In accordance with Covid guidelines, Trinity Church can be at no more than 25% capacity.  Therefore, registration is required and we can accommodate the first 60 people to sign up on the link below.
