Online Event: Author Talk And Q&A With Robyn Gigl: By Way Of Sorrow

March 31, 2021 - 6:00PM to 7:00PM EST

Join Garden State Equality for an online Author Talk and Q&A with Robyn Gigl, GSE board member and the acclaimed author of BY WAY OF SORROW, a gripping legal thriller with a ripped-from-the-headlines plot and a unique protagonist who, like the author herself, is a transgender attorney. This event is free but registration is required!

Please help support local independent bookstores by purchasing your autographed copy of BY WAY OF SORROW from the Asbury Book Cooperative or Booktowne. Order by March 24 to ensure you get your copy in time for the event! A portion of the proceeds from every purchase will be donated to Garden State Equality.

Robyn Gigl is an attorney and activist who's been practicing for over 40 years and fighting for LGBTQ+ rights in and out of the courtroom for more than a decade. In her novel, she raises relevant issues of how race, class, sexual orientation, and gender identity impact the justice system. She also takes on the more personal struggles faced by minority groups, including feelings of isolation and alienation, strained family relationships, and public discrimination, inspiring empathy and creating understanding in readers from various walks of life.

During this virtual event, Robyn Gigl will discuss the issues of gender, race, power and public perception tackled within the pages of BY WAY OF SORROW, as well as answer questions from attendees.
