See you in Sunbeam Lenape Park for a casual and possibly chaotic "bring your own food and drink" Pride Picnic after the Pride Ride and Worlds Shortest Pride Parade!
There will be some kind of music, some outdoor games like super sized Jenga, and just a lot of great pride vibes!
while supplies last, there will be cold Seltzer from the Hunterdon UU Fellowship, cookies from Frenchtown United Methodist Church, and popcorn from Harvest Family Success Center.
Mostly it's just about hanging out and having some fun with some great Pride vibes! in addition to bringing your own picnic or grabbing something from our nearby local establishments, feel free to bring a blanket to camp out as well!

Big supporter of Pride, but pressed for time? Frenchtown has you covered!
Come on downtown to cheer on the World's Shortest Pride Parade! it might last only about 15 minutes, and is absolutely only 1,104 feet long.
Of course if you have a group of some kind that is pro-Pride and you'd like to join in to march those 1,104 ft, we'd be happy to have you!
Register your parade group here: forms.gle/3LqutwCq8qNqZw616
Frenchtown is kind of small, and definitely eclectic, and that's the kind of parade you should expect! Help us make it so by coming down to cheer our marchers, or being some of them!
The parade ends in Sunbeam Lenape Park, where we'll join the Pride Ride riders and kick off the BYO Pride Picnic!

Decorate your wheels and yourselves and meet up starting at 12:30 p.m. at Old Frenchtown field to participate in Frenchtown's Pride Ride! Bikes, scooters, trikes, skateboards, etc. are more than welcome to join in!
At 1:00, they'll head south on Harrison Street, turn on Second Street, pass the World's Shortest Pride Parade gathering, go down Race to Bridge Street, and then end up at Sunbeam Lenape Park, where there'll be some snacks and cold beverages.
After that, hang out for a Pride Picnic, get take out from places downtown or bring your own food, it's totally casual and probably a little chaotic.
Once the parade marchers show up, we're hoping to do some prizes for decorated wheels, too. See you on the streets of Frenchtown!

Come on downtown, grab some chalk and channel your inner or outer artist, or just draw some stuff that is pride friendly and fun and colorful all over sidewalks in downtown Frenchtown.
You'll find us giving out the chalk right in front of the mule at the corner of Harrison and Bridge Streets.
And this year, acclaimed artist Lorraine Cahill, will be doing a special chalk pastel work of art right in front of the Frenchtown Bookshop. So even if you don't want to create your own art, come downtown and check out a real artist at work! See you downtown!

Like to kick a ball around? have kickball skills? totally do not have kickball skills? it's all good!
Come on out to cheer on this year's teams at Queer Kickball. Or show up starting at 5:30 to register to be picked for one of the teams so you can get on the field and show your stuff. Whether in the stands or playing the game, crazy clothes and colorful flags are absolutely encouraged!
Mike from Frenchtown hardware will be our judicious, but capricious umpire as usual, and Eric will be back as our flamboyant and vociferous emcee!
There'll be some seltzer from the Hunterdon UU fellowship, and the Harvest family success Center is supplying popcorn.
Unless the weather is absolutely insane, they'll be out there playing! looking forward to you joining us!
]]>Sunday, June 18, 2023 - 8:30AM to 10:00AM EST
Everyone will be out and about putting up the Pride flags on Sunday morning.
If anyone else wants to help, look for us downtown carrying all the big flags and jump on in!
]]>Saturday, June 17, 2023 - 1:00PM to 3:00PM EST
Hey Frenchtown folk, want to show your support of Pride in Frenchtown? or want to refresh a beat up old Pride flag with a new one? Do we have an opportunity for you!
Stop on by Frenchtown United Methodist Church and we'll be out front with free Pride flags and even some flag hardware to help you mount flags on your home or business. It would be great to get as many flags up as possible for Pride Week 2023 in Frenchtown, particularly in light of the vandalism the community experience last year in August.
Don't be shy, and come on by. there will be plenty of flags, thanks to a donation by the Harvest Family Success Center.
