DESCRIPTION:LGBTQ+ Youth Mental Health Summit at Hudson County Community College's Culinary Center in Jersey City NJ\nSaturday\, April 26\, 2025 - 10:00AM to 4:00PM EST\nJoin us for Hudson Pride Center’s first LGBTQ+ Youth Mental Health Summit in Hudson County!This summit is designed to bring together parents\, caregivers\, educators\, and social service providers for a day of education and empowerment\, offering valuable tools and strategies to help create safe\, inclusive\, and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth.LGBTQ+ youth face unique challenges related to their sexual orientation and gender identity/expression\, often leading to heightened risks for mental health struggles such as depression\, anxiety\, and suicide ideation. These stressors contribute to higher rates of homelessness\, substance misuse\, and other high-risk behaviors.
