DESCRIPTION:High Heel Drag Race 2023 in New Hope PA\nSunday\, October 29\, 2023 - 2:30PM to 4:30PM EST\nWatch a gang of glamorous ghouls speed to the finish line in this sinister stiletto showdown.\nNew Hope Celebrates has just announced the highlight of their OUT in October events: the 19th Annual High Heel Drag Race (HHDR)! This year’s theme is “You Go Ghoul - Bewitched\, Bedazzled\, and Beyond Fabulous”. A long-standing tradition\, the event will take place on Sunday\, October 29th at 3:00pm on W. Mechanic Street in New Hope\, PA. Registration is now open for those who dare to compete.\nHosted by none other than New Hope’s Miss Pumpkin\, race participants must dress in Halloween-inspired drag costumes and wear 3” or taller high heels. Runners will carry a pumpkin up the hill on W. Mechanic Street\, decorate the pumpkin\, and race back down the hill. This is an inclusive event for all\, representing the Delaware River Town’s inclusivity\, diversity\, equity\, and acceptance.\n“Myself and the NHC team are excited to see who comes out to race with us this year. We always look forward to the elaborate costumes and pageantry our runners bring to the event. This is an annual tradition for our community and we are grateful for the opportunity to continue presenting it and showcase the amazing community we live in”\, said Melissa Patterson\, President of New Hope Celebrates.\nThis event is free for attendees. There will be a 50/50 raffle and limited edition HHDR t-shirts available for sale; all proceeds go to New Hope Celebrates. There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee required in advance for contestants\, limited to the first fifteen people. Participants should arrive by 2:30pm for check in\, the race begins promptly at 3:00 pm.
