DESCRIPTION:It's the first of three gender EDGE events in philly this year\, a new format along w/ the continued militancy of trans*/queer punk arts activism!!! \n \nthis show will include:\n \na showing of the film "Make It Happen" a documentary about the Transforming Justice Conference\, that focused on dismantling the system that holds trans and gender non-conforming people captive within the prison industrial complex. This will be followed by a facilitated discussion / critical thinking session presented by philly trans activist Ben Singer\n \nand then performances/artistic expression from:\n \nSGT. SASS (legendary hip-hop/club/punk artists)\n \nGIRLCRUSH (punx from nyc\, representing brooklyn transcore)\n \nICON EBONY FIERCE (new performance/spoken word artist with the mission to bring fun back with a queer socio-political twist in his music)\n \nEX. By V. (lo-fi\, high energy experimental/punk/thrash/noise/prose)\n \nRUBY L.L. VOYAGER (entirely rad mc for the evening)\n \nD.J. NASTY SINATRA (interstitial auditory excellence)\n \nlocal trans*/queer organizations (tba) will be tabling and sharing info. at this event\, plenty of zines will be available as well\n \nDOORS @ 7:30\, so get there early as THIS SHOW WILL START ON TIME @ 8PM\, you will miss amazing things if you show up late.\n \nall ages\, 5 $ suggested\, absolutely no one turned away for lack of funds\n \nsee you soon!!!
