DESCRIPTION:COVID19 UPDATE: PLEASE CONTACT EVENT ORGANIZER TO CONFIRM EVENT IS STILL SCHEDULED\nOnline Event: Equality And Acceptance In The Church\nSeptember 19\, 2020 - 9:00Am to 11:30AM EST\nLife Together: You Too Are Brought Near” is a free online and on-site conference on inclusion that will be hosted outdoors by Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church in New Hope\, PA on September 19th and 20th. The conference will include four speakers from Princeton Theological Seminary\, covering the theological importance and biblical basis for inclusion—particularly in regard to race\, disability\, and the LGBTQ+ community. \nThe free conference will begin on Saturday\, Sept. 19th at 9:00am and continue until 11:30am. In the first hour\, Kevin Vollrath (MDiv.\, PhD Candidate) will speak on intersectionality\, disability\, and “best practices” for communities seeking to create inclusive spaces. \nIn the second hour\, Deborah Jodrey (MDiv\, MACEF) and Lindsey Jodrey (Rev. Dr.) will speak on the LGBTQ+ community\, gender and sexual identity\, language\, and the theological importance of gender inclusivity. \nOn Sunday\, September 20th\, starting at 10:30am\, Eric Barreto (Dr.) will speak on racial and ethnic inclusion\, theology\, and the radical hospitality demonstrated by Jesus in his ministry. \nCome join us as we seek to learn and become a more welcoming community. You may join online via Zoom or participate in person (limited space available).
