Hull-Watters has spent the past decade interviewing numerous LGBTQ+ role models from education\, entertainment\, law enforcement\, medical and emergency services\, politics\, religion and sports for his book NEVER BLEND IN.\nIn this presentation\, he shares selected extracts from notable interviewees\, including original and insightful interviews with Alan Cumming OBE\, Stephen Fry\, Anthony Rapp\, Heather Matarazzo\, Daniel Newman\, Adele Anderson\, John Amaechi\, Clare Summerskill; key equality advocates\, educators\, and influencers of policy Sue Sanders\, Phyllis Akua Opoku-Gyimah (UK Black Pride)\, Jason Jones\, Maurice Tomlinson\, Rabbi Denise Eger\, Lt. Dan Choi\, veteran human rights campaigner\, Peter Tatchell; filmmakers Parvez Sharma and Mobeen Azhar; transgender trailblazers David E. Weekley\, Michael Eric Brown\, Caroline Paige\, and Jamison Green\, amongst many others.\nDavid interweaves these interview extracts with an exploration of how life need not be a self-fulfilling prophecy\, that our “truth” is shaped through our relationships\, our environment\, and our experiences\, and of how we can change our perceptions\, heighten our self-esteem\, and move toward personal and professional goals with clear vision and purpose.David E Hull-Watters – Biography (2021)\nEnhancing Education & Employment for All\nwww.inclusionconsultant.co.uk\nInclusion and Wellbeing Consultant\, David\, is a specialist LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity educator\, who has worked in multiple settings\, in both the public and private sectors.\nWinner of Vodaphone World of Difference Award\, a National Diversity Award 2014 shortlisted for a European Diversity Award 2015 and nominated for an Excellence in Diversity Award 2015 (for his contribution to enhancing equality in education) and The Diversity Champion Award: Education Sector for The Excellence in Diversity Awards 2017.\nHe created the RESPECT Program; an Academic Management\, Tutor and Business Support training program\, based upon the EQUALITY ACT 2010\, which offered opportunities for all participants to explore and celebrate diversity and which created a forum for the development of immeasurable cultural enhancement in terms of recruitment\, retention\, achievement and progression.\nMost recently\, he has worked with the British Transport Police\, and the British Library on projects to enhance working supportively with neurodivergent colleagues and clients.\nAdditionally\, he is the founder and coordinator of the international Give ‘em Hope Campaign; Marriage Equality Pioneer who successfully campaigned for a change in marriage legislation by taking a legal case to the European Court of Human Rights with Equal Love UK and writer of the LGBTQ+ Role Model book\, Never Blend In.\nMore information about David E.
